Day 2 of our CIC Hut Week and Mark and I took out teams up Minus 2 Gully and then continued up North East Buttress, giving an excellent journey to the summit of the mountain. We had a steady thaw and rain through the night, but by the morning, things had improved.

We're back up at the CIC Hut for the week, running our second and final hut based climbing course of the season. With a deteriorating forecast, we made an early start and climbed Minus 3 Gully, which after the milder temperatures of yesterday, had refrozen well through the night.

Contrary to the forecast it's been a nice day out for the end of the Weekend Winter Skills which was also the last of this year's Expedition Guide winter courses. Me and the boys have been up Meall a Bhuiridh where without the chair lift running we walked from the Glen Coe ski centre car park.

We've the last of this year's Weekend Winter Skills courses running this weekend. Given the amount of snow on the mountains of the West Highlands right now you'd imagine that we could have run them well into April.
