Kangeiko* at the Beach in Santa Cruz on Sunday, Feb 11 (AKA Superbowl Sunday)

0 57

Open to all Karate people in the area! Free!

*”Kangeiko” literally means “cold training” and is typically done outside during the coldest time of the year. In the past, we have done this at the dojo and the last few years over Zoom. This year, we will be doing it on the beach!

Training will begin at 10:00am on Sunday, February 11, at Twin Lakes Beach, on the east side of Santa Cruz.

For Silicon Valley Karate members, please see email for more information.

Info about the Twin Lakes Beach: https://thatsmypark.org/parks-and-beaches/twin-lakes-state-beach/

Please arrive early to deal with parking, which can be tricky and time-consuming in that area.

Karate-gi (uniform) optional. If you are wearing a uniform, you may want to wear a swimsuit underneath if you plan to hang out at the beach following the training.

AfterParty at Sensei Keeling’s house in Soquel, which is about 15 minutes away (no telling what traffic will be like at that time).

*Please note that the party is pot-luck. For anyone wanting to drop off their pot-luck contribution and carpool from Soquel, please email (jon@svkarate.com). If you want more detailed information, also please email.
