Karate Kid actor Rob Garrison dies in hospital aged 59

KARATE Kid actor Rob Garrison has died aged 59.

The actor passed away following a month long stint in hospital suffering from kidney and liver problems.

Garrison’s sister in law confirmed to TMZ he died in hospital in West virginia, USA on Friday Morning and that his “organs shut down.”

She also added the family are working on funeral preparations.

The 59-year-old is best known for playing Tommy from the infamous Cobra Kai gang in 1984’s Karate Kid.

His acting career began in the late 70s before he landed the role and went on to star in its 1986 sequel.

His character is best known for yelling the line “Get him a body bag! Yeah!”

Garrison also had rolls in a number of US TV shows including MacGyver, Columbo and Coach.

He took a 20-year break from acting between 1991 and 2011 and recently reprised his role as Tommy for the YouTube TV series “Cobra Kai” this year.
