0 3

We are proud to announce that the 2025 recipients of the Brad Farrow Bursaries are Loika Robertson (Club de judo Shidokan Inc., QC) and Yehor Paladii (Taifu Judo Club, ON).
Each of the recipients will receive $2,000.00.

“These scholarships are a testament to the athletes’ dedication and hard work. They will undoubtedly make the most of this opportunity, using it to further their development and continue progressing in their athletic journey,” said Judo Canada’s National Coach and HPD, Antoine Valois-Fortier.

About the Brad Farrow Bursary

Since 2009, the Brad Farrow Bursary has been awarded to promising non-carded student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to training, helping them pursue their athletic careers, develop their full potential, and achieve their dreams. Since its inception, $60,000 has been distributed to numerous athletes.

Brad Farrow was inducted into the Judo Canada Hall of Fame as an athlete in 1997 for his outstanding performance during his national team career. His remarkable achievements include being a three-time Olympic team member and an eleven-time Canadian champion. Mr. Farrow wanted to give back to his sport, and this bursary is entirely funded through his contribution.

On behalf of the recipient athletes, Judo Canada extends a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Farrow for his generosity.

In alignment with its mission and vision, Judo Canada strives to provide the best environment for athletes at all levels to perform and enjoy the practice of judo. You can help us make a difference by donating here: https://judocanada.org/donation/
