Update on Elite Nationals 2022
Dear participants/provinces/clubs/coaches/referees/volunteers
It is a priority for Judo Canada to ensure the safety of the athletes, coaches and volunteers involved in such an event, but also to ensure that the athletes can prepare adequately and fairly across the country.
As health protocols are changing almost every day across Canada, we need to finalize all negotiations with the Hotel and the University of Alberta before providing you with the final decision concerning the 2022 event; either cancellation or postponement. With the likelihood of changes from our partners and the local organizing committee, we do not want to communicate a plan until everything is finalized. As a result, the final answer should be published by Monday January 3rd, 2022.
Please note that at this time, the Delta Hotel has agreed to waive all charges or fees for all reservations and that all registration fees will be reimbursed. We request that you please hold your questions until you have had an opportunity to read next week’s final decision.
