Heartwarming video shows hockey player telling his dad he made the US Olympic team

US Hockey revealed its roster for the Olympics on Monday, and it features an eclectic mix of former NHL players and international players.

Bobby Butler, who now plays for the Milwaukee Admirals, an affiliate of the Nashville Predators, made the roster and got to share the news with his father.

The Admirals caught the moment on film, and though you can't hear their exchange, the video is all you need.

Butler has spent time in the NHL and has played around the world in the KHL and for the US World Cup team. While current NHL players aren't allowed to compete in the Olympics, a decision that has bothered many, moments like these, from lesser-known players, are a nice substitute.
