A year on from the fateful night in Madrid, it is fair to say that most Spurs fans still have not fully recovered from losing the Champions League final.
Many Spurs fans still have a difficult time digesting the early penalty that was awarded to Liverpool after Moussa Sissoko was adjudged to have handballed a cross from Sadio Mane.
All things considered, Tottenham’s performance on the night was not terrible with the Reds deciding to sit back and invited pressure, with Alison being awarded the man of the match for the important saves he pulled off.
Irrespective of whether Liverpool deserved to win the final, one thing that cannot be questioned is the graciousness of Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool players after their win.
