Melita Falcons to participate in Beach Handball Champions Cup
Melita Falcons Beach Handball Club are set to make their European debut as they will participate in the EHF Beach HandBall Champions Cup in Catania, Sicily, between November 1 and November 4.
Melita, who are the domestic champions, will be involved in Group A alongside defending champions Ekaterinodar Krasnodar of Russia, Sweden's BHC Goteborg and BHC 1899 Bern of Switzerland. Despite the competitive challenge in this tournament, the Maltese side is aiming to at least place among the top 12 of this 16-team competition and has strengthened its squad ahead of their expedition with the signings of Hungarian duo, former Beach Handball European Championship Most Valuable Player Gabor Bathori and Csaba Foldesi.
