Lionel Messi reveals 'main goal' for the rest of his career

- Lionel Messi wants to win more titles with Barcelona as he nears 15 years at the Camp Nou

- The 31-year-old has netted 14 times this term in all competitions with six assists

- He has won four Champions League titles among several other domestic and individual silverware at the club

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has insisted that winning more trophies remain his main plan for this season.

The Argentine star clocked 31 this summer during the 2018 FIFA World Cup where his country crashed out at the second round stage in Russia.

According to the Mirror, the attacker is close to his 15th year at the Camp Nou having made his debut for the team in 2004.

Messi, who recently returned from arm injury has already scored 14 goals and six assists in all competitions for coach Ernesto Valverde's side.

However, their 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid over the weekend made them lose their leadership at the top of the table.

As they battle Dutch League side PSV Eindhoven in their Champions League clash on Wednesday night.

The La Liga champions last won the competition in 2015 but Messi wants to add more silverware to his already glittering collection.

"My main goal is to keep growing and not to be content with what I've done, won or achieved," he said at an Adidas promotional event.

"I want to get better each day and complete more objectives and win more titles. I consider myself very competitive. I like to win everything and don't like to lose at all."

Messi also commented on his evolving role over the years at the club: "I see myself more so as a player who controls matches, who participates a lot with the ball and who makes the play go more than I see myself as a goalscorer."

These two players are arguably the best football stars in the the last ten years considering the titles they have won for their clubs.
