American man reveals how a Nigerian sent him the new Super Eagles jersey

- Greg Dybec is excited to have been gifted a Super Eagles jersey by a Nigerian fan shortly after the 2018 World Cup in Russia

- He explained how he tried to get one during the championship as the kit was out of stock in all the stores

- The Podcast producer/author later got one of the jerseys from a Nigerian who had promised to mail him one after the tournament

American author Greg Dybec has taken to social media to express his gratitude towards a Nigerian who sent him a Super Eagles jersey shortly after the conclusion of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Despite's crashing out of the championship at the group phase, the three time African champions were heavily commended for their jersey at the mundial.

The New York born writer revealed he had wanted to buy the jersey while the competition was ongoing but was already out of stock in all the stores in Russia.

He however met a Nigerian, who promised to send him one provided he dropped a mailing address and just about a couple of weeks later, he took delivery of the jersey.

While reacting to the kind gesture of the Samaritan, Greg took a picture in the jersey that gave Gernot Rohr 2-0 victory over Iceland in Volgograd expressing his excitement.

He said: "Met a Nigerian man at the World Cup & told him how much I loved this jersey (sold out everywhere).

"He took my address and told me he’d mail me one. Didn’t believe him but today this showed up all the way from Nigeria. Random acts of kindness do exist."

Nigeria got their 2018 World Cup campaign off to a losing start after their 2-0 defeat to Croatia, but bounced back to winning ways in their second game.

They defeated Iceland 2-0 but went ahead to lose 2-1 to Argentina inn their last group game - a game they needed just one point to progress to the knockout stage of the tourney.

Coach Gernot Rohr's men crashed out of the championship with just three points after three matches in Russia.

NAIJ.com previously reported that Marcos Rojo scored the winner as Argentina beat Nigeria 2-1 in the final Group D encounter on June 26.

Lionel Messi opened scoring for the south American team but Victor Moses' penalty level up for the Super Eagles.

However, an 86th minute low show from the Manchester United defender ensured Jorge Sampaoli's men avoided crashing out of the tourney at the early stage.
