Bayern Munich defender David Alaba on Friday, June 8, led the Austrian national football team to visit the Super Eagles of Nigeria who are preparing for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Although the 25-year-old Alaba is a Nigerian by blood, but he was not raised up in African and decided to play for the Austrian national team.

He has however chosen not to forget the country of his father and therefore decided to visit the Super Eagles who are currently training in Austria.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made this latest available via their social media page.

Meanwhile, Nigeria have played three pre World Cup friendlies against DR Congo, England and Czech Republic, but failed to record a win in any of these matches.

Previously, NAIJ.com had reported how Nigeria wrapped up their preparations towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia against Czech Republic on a losing note.

Tomas Kalas' first half goal ensured the Super Eagles lost their second straight game in their build up as they go into the final phase of their build up.

The three time African Champions could have conceded more in the first 45 minutes of the game for saves from Francis Uzoho.
