Malta vs. England live stream: Time, TV channel, and how to watch 2018 World Cup qualifier online

England should move a step closer to Russia 2018 on Friday.

England are yet to lose a game in their World Cup qualifying campaign, but Gareth Southgate’s side find themselves only two points clear of second-placed Slovakia and three ahead of Slovenia and the dreaded third place. That means the Three Lions can’t ease up just yet, and that they’ll be hoping a win over Malta on Friday moves them considerably closer to booking their place at Russia 2018.

Malta are unlikely to prove any real opponent for England, given that they've lost every single one of their qualifying games so far. They were beaten by a respectable scoreline in the reverse fixture, going down 2-0 at Wembley, and it’s unlikely they’ll fare any better on Friday. Anything other than a heavy defeat will be a good achievement.

England are without Jordan Pickford, Nathaniel Clyne, and Michail Antonio, who are all currently injured; former captain of the team Wayne Rooney will also not feature as he’s recently announced his retirement from international football.
