Road to Russia 2018 Asian Qualifiers: Results and Fixtures

Kuala Lumpur: Japan have joined the Islamic Republic of Iran in confirming their FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia berth after beating Australia 2-0 in a Group B match in Saitama on Thursday. There is still much to play for on Sept 5 - the final Matchday of the Asian Qualifiers - as Korea Republic drew 0-0 with the Islamic Republic of Iran while China beat Uzkekistan 1-0. Syria are also in the running after beating Qatar 3-1.
