Midweek Celtic Clash For U19s At HTC
The wee Hibees are back on home turf this midweek; hosting Celtic in the CAS Elite U19 League.
Our first league meeting against Celtic this season will kick-off at 4:30pm on Wednesday 15 April at HTC.
Fixtures
- Hibernian U19s Vs. Celtic U19s - Wed, Apr 15 2026, 16:30
THE LOWDOWN
Darren McGregor’s side have enjoyed back-to-back wins in recent weeks, with Motherwell defeated in our last league fixture at the end of March.
It was not a glittering performance from the youngsters as they squeezed past the ‘Well with a narrow 1-0 home victory, secured by Josh McDonald’s arrowed strike.
Our most recent match last week against Rangers was a more thrilling affair as we twice came back from going a goal behind to seal a 4-2 away win.
Calum Adamson’s early opener was nullified by Callum MacDonald’s first goal of the campaign, before Max Cameron restored the home team’s lead on 51 minutes.
Josh McDonald would level from the spot with 15 to go, with Logan Jimenez striking twice in the latter stage to secure all three group stage points for Hibs.
Following our final League Cup group stage match, Dundee United have now been confirmed as the Hibees’ Semi-Final opponents.
After our triumph at RTC, our U19s travelled to London to face an experienced West Ham United side, which contained U21 players. Luke Davidson scored on the day as we lost out 3-1.
THE VISITORS
We have yet to play Celtic in any competition this season, with our last meeting occurring on Valentine's Day 2025.
Dean Cleland bagged a brace on the night, netting either side of half-time, at HTC as the youngsters secured a fifth consecutive win en route to title success.
The Hoops are currently sixth in the eight-team CAS Elite U19 League table, though they have only played eight of 16 fixtures this season – which means they have played three games less than fifth-place Dundee United while sitting four points behind.
Last time out, the Glasgow outfit suffered their fourth defeat of the campaign as they were defeated 3-2 by Hearts at Oriam despite leading at half-time.
