Mohun Bagan retains Hockey League title

Mohun Bagan Athletic Club wins the Calcutta Premier Hockey League 2026 title after defeating arch-rivals East Bengal 3–1 in the final on April 11, 2026. This victory marks their 28th title in the competition, having entered the season as defending champions from 2025.

The final was held at the Dumurjala Grounds (AstroTurf Hockey Ground).

Mohun Bagan maintained a dominant run throughout the season, including a significant 8–3 victory over F.C.I (E.Z) and a 6–4 win against Police A.C.

In addition to the final, Mohun Bagan also secured a convincing 4–1 win against East Bengal earlier in the league stage.

This win solidifies Mohun Bagan’s status as the most successful team in the history of the Calcutta Hockey League, now holding 28 state league titles. Their back-to-back titles in 2025 and 2026 come after a brief hiatus in their hockey operations, effectively regaining their dominance in the Hockey Bengal circuit.
