April 10 – World governing body FIFA is struggling to sell the broadcast rights for the 2026 and 2030 World Cups in India, even after slashing the asking prices to $35-40 million.
With little over two months to go until the kick off of the 2026 World Cup, Indian media report that FIFA is failing to market the rights to the World Cup in the country. FIFA had initially sought $100 million from broadcasters for the next two editions of its flagship tournament,
