THE LOWDOWN
Hibs are currently on a six-game unbeaten run, accruing 12 points from a possible 18 in total.
We head into this weekend’s match with a win under our belt from Saturday, as Neil McCann’s Kilmarnock were convincingly beaten 3-0 at Easter Road.
Owen Elding opened the scoring within 13 seconds to give us the best possible start in Leith – with his goal confirmed as the fastest of the Premiership season so far.
After providing the assist for Elding, Felix Passlack soon found himself on the scoresheet when he tapped home our second on 12 minutes after Jordan Obita picked out the German wing-back with a smart squared ball.
A professional performance followed across the 90 before two substitutes combined in stoppage-time to seal the victory. Martin Boyle fizzed in a terrific low cross for Ante Šuto to turn in with a clever sliding finish at the back post.
With one match to play before the split, Hibs are currently fifth in the Premiership table on 51 points. Fourth-place Motherwell are three points ahead, while Falkirk stay five points behind in sixth.
TEAM NEWS
Rudi Molotnikov, Munashe Garananga, Nicky Cadden and Josh Mulligan all missed last weekend’s match through injury.
Head Coach David Gray will give a squad update on Friday 10 April at HTC when speaking to the media.
THE HOSTS
Aberdeen have endured a tricky start under new boss Stephen Robinson since his arrival in the Granite City in mid-March.
The Dons were on a six-match winless league run at the time of the former St Mirren boss’ appointment, with no win secured under his stewardship yet in three attempts.
A home 1-1 draw with Falkirk preceded away defeats to Rangers (4-1) and St Mirren (2-0); leaving ninth-place Aberdeen just three points above the relegation play-off spot currently occupied by Killie.
After securing a 2-1 victory during our last visit to Pittodrie in October 2025, we faced off against the Reds in Leith in late December.
Thibault Klidjé turned in a low Elie Youan cross to open the scoring on the day, before Junior Hoilett squirmed a low shot underneath Dons keeper Dimitar Mitov to seal a 2-0 win for the Hibees.
