International Duty Awaits For 13 Hibees!

The April international break sees 13 Hibees travel away with their respective nations – read our full preview below!

Three Hibees have earned senior call-ups for their country, whilst 10 youngsters have been named in youth squads – with five players selected for Scotland U23s alone!

Eilidh Adams & Kathleen McGovern – Scotland

With two important 2027 FIFA World Cup qualifiers ahead, two (or more) Hibs Women players have been called up together to the Scotland ‘A’ Squad for the first time since November 2021.

Kathleen McGovern made a terrific start to the qualification campaign, scoring three goals in Scotland’s two opening matches against Luxembourg.

The centre-forward’s late strike in the opening fixture helped Scotland to a 5-0 victory over the Red Lionesses. She then struck inside 60 seconds at Hampden Park in the reverse fixture before securing her brace in a 7-0 home win.

Melissa Andreatta has also recalled Eilidh Adams to the senior set-up. The 22-year-old made her debut last February and has earned three ‘A’ Squad caps in total.

With a 100% start in Group B4, Scotland are currently top of their qualifying group ahead of this month’s double-header versus Belgium.

The Road to Brazil 2027 continues at Easter Road Stadium on Tuesday 14 April at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here

The reverse tie will take place at Den Dreef Stadium, Leuven, on Saturday 18 April; 7:30pm (UK time) kick-off.

Stacey Papadopoulos – Greece

Greece, like Scotland, have also made a 100% start to their World Cup qualification campaign.

Stacey Papadopoulos played the full 90 in both of the Ethniki’s opening Group C4 matches as Georgia and the Faroe Islands were brushed aside 3-0 and 2-0, respectively, in Heraklion, Greece.

This month, Papadopoulos returns to international duty to face the Faroe Islands in Tórshavn – with a win enough to secure top spot in their group – on Tuesday 14 April.

Greece’s second fixture across the break is a friendly match against Moldova in Athens on Saturday 18 April.

Tegan Bowie, Rosie Livingstone, Hannah Jordan, Caley Gibb & Tiree Burchill – Scotland U23s

Five Hibees have been selected in the latest Scotland U23s squad!

Caley Gibb has earned her first call-up at U23 level as Tiree Burchill earns a first recall to the squad since May 2025.

With Eilidh Adams promoted to the ‘A’ Squad, Hannah Jordan, Rosie Livingstone and Tegan Bowie continue to be picked in the U23 squad.

All five players will travel to Pinatar, Spain, as part of a 20-strong squad in April to play in a friendly tournament against top opposition.

France will be the first test for Scotland on Sunday 12 April before facing either Denmark or the United States on Thursday 16 April.

Rowena Armitage, Jess Ramsay & Isla Taylor – Scotland U19s

17-year-old goalkeeper Rowena Armitage earns a second successive call-up to the Scotland U19 squad.

Jess Ramsay has also been selected after a progressive season for the young midfielder, with eight First Team appearances and a first senior goal supplemented by further caps and goals at youth level for Scotland.

Isla Taylor has been promoted from the Scotland U17s after excelling on loan at Partick Thistle. The youngster joined up with the Jags in January and has already made crucial contributions to her loan team’s historic top-six finish.

It is a crucial break for Scotland U19s, who are targeting a spot in the 2026 UEFA Women’s U19 Championship – with a first-place finish in Group A4 securing a spot in the tournament.

The Young Team are preparing for a triple-header of qualifiers held in Kirkintilloch, Glasgow. They will face Austria on Friday 10 April; North Macedonia on Monday 13 April; and Norway on Thursday 16 April.

Eilidh McCormack & Isla McManus – Scotland U16s

Academy stars Eilidh McCormack and Isla McManus have been named in Nichola Greig’s squad for a pair of friendlies against Northern Ireland this month.

The pair will travel to Carrickfergus for the two matches, which will take place on Tuesday 14 April and Friday 17 April.
