Celebrating school’s sporting success

First-team player Mark Boruk and under-23 goalkeeper Lucas Brookman joined their classmates at Maidstone Town Hall this week to celebrate Maidstone Grammar School’s recent sporting achievements.

The pair, both sixth formers at the school, were invited as guests of the Mayor of Maidstone, Martin Round, who hosted a reception in recognition of MGS’s rugby team winning the Continental Tyres Schools Under-18s Vase final at Twickenham last month. The team secured a dramatic 22-21 victory over Dame Allan’s School.

Boruk and Brookman also represented the school’s football team, which reached the semi-finals of the ESFA National Cup.

Representatives from Maidstone Rugby Club and Maidstone United were also in attendance to celebrate the contribution of sports clubs to the local community.
