warning,bristol clean air zone entrapment, (29 replies)

i drove my son to bristol airport last month from bham.
m5 bristol around the wrekin and down to the airport.
on the way back by my self,no sat nav,turned left onto a38.
came to a big island sign said left for m5,so i took the left turn.
next island left for western right for m5,so i go right.
over the river,under the bridge,up to the motorway,great,i had followed the signs like a good motorist should do,got to the motorway and drove home.easy.
yeaterday i got a penalty charge notice for £69,it seems that i had entered the clean air zone.not quite in it but on the very edge.
the week after i had to pick him up,so i followed a sign on the motorway at avonmouth for the airport,and it took me the same way,into the clean air zone.so i will get another ticket.
i have retraced my route on google maps,and the are signs,not many and quite small,like a green fart.
needless to say i wont be going to bristol again.
robbing gits.
i hope they go down.
