Wilcox and Vivell dream of summer move for 53-goal boyhood Man United fan

Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Cole Palmer at the end of the season.

The Chelsea attacker is a boyhood Manchester United fan, and the Red Devils are now actively exploring a summer move for him. The 23-year-old has been exceptional since joining Chelsea and has developed into one of the league’s best attacking players.

Palmer has 53 goals and 32 assists in 122 appearances for Chelsea.

According to a report from Team Talk, Bayern Munich and PSG are also interested in the player.

Manchester United’s sporting director, Jason Wilcox and head of recruitment, Christopher Vivell, want to bring in a versatile forward in the summer, and they have identified the Chelsea star as a potential target. It remains to be seen whether they follow up on their interest with an official offer to close the deal.

Chelsea could demand around £150 million to sell the England international, and it would be a difficult deal to pull off. Manchester United need to improve multiple areas of their squad, and they cannot afford to splurge their entire budget on one player.

There is no doubt that Palmer would be a world-class signing for them. He is a young player who is already one of the best in his position in the league. He will improve further with coaching and experience. There is no doubt that he has all the tools to develop into a future superstar and to transform Manchester United’s attack. However, any move might have to wait for the future.

Manchester United are still in a period of rebuilding, and they need to add more depth to the team.
