Four-horse race emerges to poach Archie Gray from Tottenham, including Aston Villa

There could be a major bidding war for Archie Gray, with a whole host of clubs circling the Tottenham youngster.

Gray’s development has been one of the few bright sparks in what has been a disastrous season for Tottenham so far, with the 20-year-old demonstrating just why he is so highly thought of by many in the game.

The England U21 international has been Spurs’ best player over recent months, and his displays have attracted plenty of attention from elite clubs across Europe.

Over recent days, it has emerged that Borussia Dortmund and Man United are both plotting moves for Gray this summer, and they have now been joined by two other clubs.

It has now been revealed by TEAMtalk that apart from Dortmund and United, two other Premier League sides are also eyeing a summer move for the Leeds academy graduate.

The report claims that Chelsea and Aston Villa have ‘confirmed’ interest in Gray with the quartet sensing an opportunity to secure the 20-year-old amidst Spurs’ crisis.

The outlet claims that Gray is likely to depart N17 in the event that Tottenham get relegated this season.

However, should the club preserve their Premier League status, they will be in a strong position to retain the youngster, who is not agitating for a move.

Borussia Dortmund stepping up their interest in Gray

TEAMtalk reveal that Dortmund have been fans of the Tottenham man for a long time, having first expressed an interest in him back in November of 2023 when he was still at Elland Road.

The Bundesliga club have ‘stepped up their interest’ in Gray and are now ‘making early advances for a deal’ ahead of the summer window.

Having monitored the Spurs star closely, Dortmund view him as the ideal long-term replacement for Julian Brandt, who is expected to depart the Westfalenstadion this summer.
