Thoughts
I'd be a crap manager/coach, but sipping a pint of porter and wondering how we get the best out of our playing squad and add the missing element: goals.
What about forgetting the wingers and crosses, as they tend not to be converted so:
- Go to a back 5 with wing backs, with Allsop feeding them
- A holding mid, say Paik or Solis
- 2 creative players (any 2 from Duksch, Gray, Roberts) to play balls through the line
- 2 forwards adept at latching on to those balls, like Stanno and Kyogo
- Revert to 442 and Priske late on if required.
As I said, I'm no student of strategy nor analyst, but interested in getting people's thoughts on my Guinness-fuelled meanderings. Cheers.
