Injury Update: Linzi Taylor
We can provide an update on the injury Linzi Taylor sustained during our ScottishPower Women’s Premier League fixture on Wednesday 18 March.
The centre-back was forced off in the 86th minute of our 2-2 home draw against Rangers. Scans have now confirmed that Taylor will unfortunately be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.
She will now undergo a period of rehabilitation and recovery, working closely with the Club’s medical department to ensure she returns to fitness as quickly as possible.
The 31-year-old has made 20 appearances for the Club this season, and has only recently returned from a two-and-a-half-month spell on the sidelines - being named our Player of the Match against Celtic last weekend on her first start since November 2025.
Hibernian Women Head Coach Joelle Murray commented: “I’m gutted for Linzi. She is an important player for us and she has worked tirelessly to get over an unrelated injury in recent months.
“Her contributions to the Club since joining have been paramount, and her performances since returning to the squad in the past few weeks show both her quality and the importance of her character and leadership in the squad.
“While she will not be on the pitch for us until the end of the season, Linzi will still offer plenty to the team as she begins her rehabilitation.”
