Boyle Set For 400th Hibs Appearance

0 0

Martin Boyle will make his 400th Hibernian FC appearance at Fir Park this afternoon, becoming only the 16th player to hit the milestone!

He joins an illustrious list of Hibs legends to reach the milestone. The likes of Gordon Smith, Pat Stanton and Eddie Turnbull having surpassed the 400 mark for the Club, with Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson the most recent Hibs heroes to reach the landmark.

Boyle initially made the move to Leith in January 2015 on loan, making his Hibs debut in a 1-1 Edinburgh Derby draw at Tynecastle Park.

After signing permanently in June 2015, Boyle would go on to be part of our historic 2016 Scottish Cup triumph. He remains the last remaining member of the Cup-winning team in the current squad almost 10 years later.

The forward has scored 108 goals for the Club and, earlier this season, became our all-time European top goalscorer. As skipper, Boyle struck against Legia Warsawa in August to grab his ninth continental goal for the Club.

Boyle captains Hibs this afternoon at Fir Park as he makes a momentous 400th showing for the Club.
