CONGRATULATIONS to Spiders star Aidan Connolly who was voted as Buck’s Bar Player of the Month for February.
The midfielder, Sean Crighton’s first summer signing last year, landed his first monthly award with 30 per cent of the vote.
It followed six matches throughout February where Connolly contributed an assist to Matty Shiels against Ross County, and a winning goal against Morton at The city Stadium.
Following him up was previous winner Matthew Shiels with 24%, Euan Murray on 11pc and Louis Longridge and Nikolay Todorov following on with 7% each.
Aidan dropped in to the club partners at the rock’n’roll chicken restaurant round the corner from the ground at 1021 Cathcart Road in Mount Florida to pick up his prise – and also try something from the menu.
However the midfielder WASN’T served a plate of the restaurant’s famous wings – as chosen by Seb Drozd.
Instead, to mark the launch of our ‘Design a Milkshake’ competition with Buck’s Bar, Aidan chose a dairy drink instead – and even designed his own milkshake which he dubbed ‘John McGinn’s Blue and White Army’ inkeeping with the football and World Cup theme for the competition.
The caramel and fudge topped drink sounds delicious – but can the young Spiders fans and local school pupils do better?
Seb’s selection will roll on to the winner of March’s vote which opens after our away trip to St Johnstone – and Scotland’s match with Japan.
