Wilkinson earns London City Lionesses U21 trial

The exciting young prospect has been in fine form for the Stones, starting seven matches for the women’s first team and scoring six goals so far this campaign. Her performances have highlighted her attacking quality and potential, making her one of the standout young players in the squad.

Wilkinson’s goal return and work rate have made a strong impression, and the opportunity to train with the Lionesses’ under-21 programme represents a fantastic step in her development.

The London City Lionesses operate a Tier One Professional Game Academy, with their under-21 side competing in the national Professional Game Academy League against some of the country’s top clubs. This pathway is designed to support the development of talented young players and provide a bridge into the professional game.

Kelsi’s trial is also a reflection of the growing relationship between the two clubs. Maidstone United are proud to be part of the Lionesses’ Sister Club Programme, which aims to strengthen links between grassroots and elite women’s football.

The programme provides opportunities for young players and clubs to connect with the Lionesses through experiences such as matchday opportunities, coaching events and player engagement initiatives, helping inspire the next generation of footballers.

Everyone at Maidstone United wishes Kelsi the very best during her trial and looks forward to continuing to support her development as she progresses in the game.
