Manchester United monitoring €60m Bundesliga star wanted by Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid
Manchester United are keeping an eye on Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Brown has emerged as one of the best left-backs in the Bundesliga since making his debut in the 2024/25 season. He registered three goals and six assists in his first campaign.
The 22-year-old has picked up from where he left off last season, chipping in with three goals and four assists in the league this term.
His ability to balance offensive and defensive responsibilities makes him an all-round left-back.
Brown is a versatile player who can operate at right-back, midfield or further forward. He has even drawn comparisons with former Manchester City star Joao Cancelo.
United are not the only side monitoring his situation. Liverpool recently ran the rule over him, while he is on the shortlist of Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Frankfurt are demanding at least €60 million for the Germany international, a fee that could be too steep for Man United, given that their priority lies elsewhere.
The Mancunian giants plan to revamp their midfield next summer and are likely to spend the majority of their budget on quality midfielders.
United are monitoring targets such as Elliot Anderson, Sandro Tonali and Adam Wharton, all of whom would command a sizable fee.
Manager Michael Carrick also recently hinted at the need to sign a left winger, with United showing interest in RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, who is valued at €100m.
In addition, with Luke Shaw, Patrick Dorgu, and Diego Leon, United already have enough depth at left-back.
As a result, a move for Brown may not be a priority for United next summer.
