Abandon this season and begin to experiment?

This morning I've been thinking that it feels very unlikely we go up now, even if we do sneak the play offs there just feels a gulf in class between us and the top 4.

One thing we've not really seen from Chris Davies is the deployment of different tactics, its usually always the same formation and similar style of play. Should we be using the run in now to trial different tactics to see what brings the best out of our players? If we can unlock the potential of Priske, Vincente, even Stansfield then we can definitely go close next season.

Of course a lot of this depends how much faith the top has in CD, if he is fighting for his job then he doesn't really have the luxury to do this. I just think next season provides our best chance to make it back to the top flight in a long time, and I think one area we are lacking is a plan B or C when plan A is not working, now could be the time to find these.
