So has a failure to reinforce in January come back to bite us yet again ? Our only business in January was one loan signing of a player who had one start in a cup game before being hooked after a dreadful performance. He's currently not even being selected for the bench in PL matches.
Like Bielsa, DF prefers a small squad, so you start to wonder whether we are now experiencing the same kind of burnout issues. And like Bielsa, he dislikes rotation.
And currently four of our most expensive summer signings are not even in the starting eleven ! What does it say about the recruitment if there seemingly isn't enough quality in the squad to give some tired and jaded players a rest in a match so soon after last weekend's demanding home game ? Admittedly Okafor is injured, however we knew that he was injury prone before we signed him.
