Tottenham would avoid relegation if they could clone one player 10 times: Paul Robinson
Paul Robinson has delivered a blunt verdict on Tottenham Hotspur’s survival chances under Igor Tudor this season, with ten games left in the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur are right in the thick of a relegation scrap and, at the moment, they run the risk of losing their Premier League status, having been in the top flight for almost four decades.
Spurs are desperately searching for solutions and have since sacked Thomas Frank after a disappointing seven-month spell in the Tottenham dugout that left the club in 16th place.
New interim manager Igor Tudor has replaced the Dane but has yet to register a win in his two games in charge, despite trying two different tactical setups.

Tottenham Premier League survival hopes questioned by Paul Robinson
Up next for Tottenham in the Premier League is a clash against Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
While home clashes often serve as an advantage, that has been far from the case for Spurs, who have one of the worst home records in the division, with only Wolves worse.
Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has now delivered a worrying assessment of his old club’s situation, questioning the tactical approach under Tudor and the lack of identity within the side.
Speaking about what he has seen in recent weeks, he told Betfred: “I’m worried for my old team. I really am. I’m not seeing anything from them at the moment that suggests they can get out of it.
“The new manager’s come in and he’s played three-at-the-back against Arsenal, with a central-midfielder as one of the centre-halves, he’s played four-at-the-back against Fulham, with Archie Gray as left-back, and he made three substitutions at half-time.
“It suggests to me that he’s desperately looking for a formula and he doesn’t really know the players that he’s got.
“For a new manager bounce, you come in and you make yourselves strong and hard to beat. I know Richarlison may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but with a team full of Richarlison’s you stay in the Premier League with the attitude and the application he’s got.
“They look like a team devoid of ideas. They’ve got a very big game this weekend against Crystal Palace before going away to Anfield, where you suspect it’s going to be very hard to get anything, and then it’s Nottingham Forest at home.
“When I watched that Tottenham team against Fulham, I was thinking about where the next win was going to come from.
“They have the joint-second worst home record in the league with Burnley, they’ve won two Premier League games at home this season and when you think there’s winnable games at home, nothing’s winnable at the moment for Tottenham.
“I’m worried about them, but I think they’ll be okay because I don’t think Nottingham Forest and West Ham United will pick up as many points as they need to. At the moment though, I’m struggling to see where Tottenham’s next points come from. I’m not so sure, and convinced, of the manager.”
Spurs facing uphill battle despite survival odds
Tudor has a record of helping struggling sides find stability, having done so at several clubs in the past, and Spurs will be hoping he can do the same for them this season.
With Tottenham, however, it is far from straightforward given the quality of the league and the injury situation he has to deal with, as nine players are unavailable.
But despite how gloomy things look, Spurs have still been handed a five per cent chance of going down this season by a supercomputer, translating to a 95 per cent chance of staying up.
