Tottenham Hotspur player joins Harry Kane in Team of the Season so far
WhoScored have revealed their Team of the Season so far across the top five leagues in Europe, and one former Tottenham star and one current one make the eleven.
This campaign has been nothing short of a disaster for the Lilywhites, who are languishing just five points off the relegation zone more than two-thirds of the way into the season.
Tottenham have once again had terrible luck with injuries, but many of their star players have also underperformed this term considerably.
However, the numbers say that one Spurs youngster, who is currently away on loan, has been one of the best in his position across Europe.
Tottenham’s Luka Vuskovic makes Whoscored’s Team of the Season
Luka Vuskovic has been dominant since joining Hamburg on loan last summer, so much so that it is difficult to believe that this is first taste of football at the highest level.
In fact, the Tottenham youngster was voted the Bundesliga player of the first half of the season, beating the likes of Harry Kane to the award.
WhoScored have now named Vuskovic in their Team of the Season across Europe’s top five leagues, with the youngster being handed an average performance rating of 7.26 out of 10 across the campaign.
Vuskovic is already attracting interest from the European elite
In light of his performances for HSV this season, it has emerged that some of the biggest clubs in Europe are now eyeing up a move for Vuskovic.
Over recent weeks, multiple sources have claimed that Bayern Munich are planning to test the waters for the Spurs youngster in the summer window.
However, Tottenham are expected to rebuff any approaches for Vuskovic, who looks destined to be a starter at N17 sooner rather than later.
