Matlock Town sign highly rated Blackpool midfielder Theo Upton on loan

Matlock Town are delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated youngster Theo Upton on a one-month loan from Sky Bet League One side Blackpool.

The talented midfielder signed his first professional contract with the Seasiders in February 2025 and has since continued his development within the first-team environment at Bloomfield Road.

Upton has already made several senior appearances for Blackpool. Among his standout moments this season was a Man of the Match performance against Nottingham Forest U21s in the EFL Trophy group stage.

Theo now links up with Matlock Town as he looks to gain valuable first-team experience, and everyone at the Proctor Cars Stadium is looking forward to welcoming him to the Gladiators.
