Good read, I was at work so watching on my phone in between doing stuff, but it looked very much to me that we allowed them (after we had started well) to drag us down to their level - a scrap, which suited them.

Once we began to dictate the pace again we should have comfortably won that game, disappointing. Plenty of positives re the new players and I do feel CD is learning as we go. Like you say, next few weeks will tell us a lot.

Also this.....The handball. I’m still not 100% on the rules here. Ordinarily, a player handling the ball in the area after it has bounced off another body part would likely not be given. However, in this instance, the ball is crossing the line without use of the arm, so I gather there should be punishment. For me, it should be a penalty, simply because a goal has been denied by use of the arm. I’m not of the belief that Styles should be punished further as it appears to be accidental – he panics and shifts his hand away from the situation in response to the touch. I can give the referee and linesman benefit of the doubt because I’m not sure they can see it.....

Think you are spot on, though I'm also confused by the rules now, in this particular scenario.
