Report: Chelsea leading London rivals in the race to land €12m-a-year forward

0 1

Dusan Vlahovic will be a free agent at the end of the season, and the player is set for an exit from Juventus.

Chelsea and Tottenham are keen on securing his signature, and a report from TEAMtalk claims that Chelsea is currently in the strongest position to sign the 26-year-old striker.

Chelsea lead Dusan Vlahovic race

Liam Rosenior is looking to bring a striker at the end of the season and the Serbian could be ideal for them. He has scored 64 goals during his time at Juventus, and he has the physicality and technical attributes for English football as well. The opportunity to join the Premier League will be exciting for him. The report claims that the player has long wanted to play in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea can wrap up the move. The player will be a free agent in the summer, and signing a player of his quality for free would be a master stroke. Juventus have been unable to reach a renewal agreement with the striker because of his €12 million wage demands.

Chelsea signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap at the start of the season. However, Delap has been quite underwhelming. Another striker could be ideal for Chelsea in the summer. It remains to be seen whether they are prepared to sanction the 22-year-old’s departure and replace him properly. The Serbian could be ideal for them.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are keen on the player as well. It is no secret that they need another striker. It will be interesting to see if they can convince the player to turn down the opportunity to move to Chelsea instead.

Vlahovic will want to join an ambitious team, but he will be able to fight for major trophies. Tottenham are in the midst of a rebuilding process, and they sacked manager Thomas Frank today. Perhaps Chelsea will be a more stable option for him.
