I’ll hold my hands up now and admit that, sometime watching at the game you miss certain bits. I don’t think Roberts did him any favours and probably had his worse game for us.
Either way, for me the sooner Laird is back the better we will be in that spot imo

I've watched him be poor in build-up multiple times this season, I'm good.
Our build up relies on both full backs being an out-ball (rather than hoofing it up field) who relieve pressure from the middle section of the pitch and then play it back into the middle section once we’ve bypassed those players.
This requires someone who can recieve the ball in tight situations & can play out under pressure. That is not Osayi-Samuel’s game, I’m afraid - even if he repeats his two good runs with ball this evening in every game he plays for us.
Don't misconstrue this as me saying he's a poor player. He's not. He has a great CV and just had a great AFCON. He just doesn't suit our system as a right-back. That's a recruitment issue.
