Not sure what’s happened but last couple of years the atmosphere has been shocking.
I sit in the Kop and I had people telling me to sit down for corners in front of us.
Next to no singing, people on their phones all game after singing and filming KRO before the game kicks off.
West Brom at home under Eustace was absolutely rocking with some of the stands missing.
Near full house and the atmosphere is once again really flat.
I raised this last season and was told that it’s the patient style of football makes things tense etc.
Tonight was a derby and i’ve never known a midlands derby be so flat.
Not even sure what can be done to fix it. The club keep pushing no one standing up, lots of people don’t sing, people try and start singing and don’t join in.
As i’ve said before the pre match experience with the fanzones, food options and bars are the best they’ve ever been and there’s a genuine pre match experience at the ground now.
But once the game kicks off it just falls flat.
Does anyone else feel the same?
