Drake Maye Explains What Will Be Highlight Of Offseason

Now that New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has had a couple of days to process Super Bowl LX, he’s beginning to look forward to some rest in the offseason.

In fact, Maye told reporters this week that the “highlight” of his offseason will be spending some time with his wife, Ann Michael Maye.

Maye absolutely deserves some rest and relaxation after an historic season. The 23-year-old quarterback started all 17 games regular season games for the Pats, completing 354 of 492 passes for a league-leading 72.0% completion rate. He amassed 4,394 passing yards with an impressive 8.9 yards per attempt, tossing 31 touchdowns against just eight interceptions. His passer rating of 113.5 topped the NFL, and he added 450 rushing yards with 4 scores on the ground, showcasing his dual-threat ability.

Maye’s precision and efficiency powered the Patriots to a 14-3 regular-season record, clinching the AFC East title. Standout performances included a historic Week 17 rout of the Jets, where he went 19-of-21 for 256 yards and five touchdowns, becoming the first QB in league history to achieve 250+ passing yards, five passing TDs, and 90%+ completion in a game. He earned recognition as the Pro Football Writers of America Most Improved Player of the Year, finished second in MVP voting, and secured second-team All-Pro honors.

New England advanced through the playoffs to reach Super Bowl LX, where they faced the Seattle Seahawks. In the Bowl, Maye completed 27-of-43 passes for 295 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, though he endured heavy pressure with six sacks. The Patriots fell 29-13 in a tough outing that capped the season on a disappointing note after their strong regular-season run.

Overall, Maye’s 2025 campaign marked a significant leap, establishing him as a franchise cornerstone and positioning New England for continued contention moving forward.
