Thomas Frank reveals injury update on Destiny Udogie, Kulusevski, and Tottenham duo

0 9

Thomas Frank has now provided an injury update on his Tottenham Hotspur squad ahead of Spurs’ clash against Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur once again failed to get three points on the board in 2026 when they took to the pitch against Michael Carrick’s Manchester United on Saturday.

Goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes were enough for the Red Devils, who grabbed a first win against the Lilywhites in their last eight games in all competitions.

Spurs started the game strongly, but a Cristian Romero sending off turned the match on its head, leaving Frank’s side with a huge mountain to climb.

Thomas Frank provides squad update ahead of Newcastle United

Tottenham will be back in league action once more on Tuesday, with Newcastle United up next in the Premier League.

Thomas Frank will be desperate to grab all three points, as his side runs the risk of getting dragged into a relegation scrap – with six points the difference between them and 18th-placed West Ham United.

Coming into the fixture against Newcastle, the Dane continues to contend with several injury setbacks.

Still on the sidelines are Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall, Mohammed Kudus and Ben Davies.

Romero is set to miss the next four league games as well, following his sending off, while Kevin Danso is out with no return date pencilled in.

Last weekend, Destiny Udogie picked up a knock against United and was forced off, leaving Souza to make his Premier League debut.

Speaking to Football London, Thomas Frank provided a fitness update on his Tottenham squad.

On Udogie: “Unfortunately, Destiny has a hamstring injury; he will be out for 4-5 weeks.”

On Spence: “Djed Spence is back.”

On Danso: “Kevin Danso will be weeks. Kevin [Danso] is with a medical consultant. It is going forward, but still weeks before he is available.”

On Dejan Kulusevki: “Deki has got another appointment at end of this week where we’ll know more, but of course, out of Champions League, is a sign it’s not tomorrow. (Will he play again this season?) I don’t know.”
