Roma new boy Vaz suffers muscle injury: When he will be back
Roma’s injury problems continue to mount, with new signing Robinio Vaz set for a spell on the sidelines due to a muscle issue.
The club confirmed the youngster has sustained a first-degree strain to the soleus muscle in his left calf, an injury expected to keep him out for at least two weeks.
He will therefore miss Monday’s Serie A clash with Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico, as per MilanNews.it.
Vaz the latest on Roma growing injury list
Vaz joins an already lengthy list of absentees at Trigoria.
Manu Koné, Artem Dovbyk, Evan Ferguson and Paulo Dybala are all still training separately from the main group, while Mario Hermoso is dealing with a foot contusion and Venturino is sidelined by illness.
Vaz only signed for the Giallorossi in January and will be hoping not to be sat on the sidelines for too long.
Roma medical staff are hopeful Hermoso and Venturino could recover in time to return soon, but Vaz’s setback represents another blow as the Giallorossi look to navigate a packed schedule with a depleted squad.
