Super Bowl Champ Reveals Hilarious Difference Between Patriots Fans And Eagles Fans
After winning a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles last year, New England Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams has the chance to go back-to-back this year.
After spending his first four NFL seasons with the Eagles, Williams knows their fans and their city well. They’re very similar to Boston and New England sports fans in many ways, as they’re both deeply passionate fan bases in cold, historic cities that live and die with their teams.
Williams did note one key difference, however, during his Super Bowl press conference earlier this week.
“I’ll probably say New England is probably more passionate. But Philly fans, they don’t care about nothing. They’re going to do whatever,” Williams told the media. “It’s even, but I feel like Patriots fans, they don’t want to get in trouble. Philly fans, they don’t care about nothing. They don’t care if they go to jail or do whatever.”
That’s not surprising to hear, as Eagles fans definitely got out of control after their two recent Super Bowl wins. They’re famous for climbing greased poles and other kinds of rowdy behavior.
Patriots fans, on the other hand, are a bit more civil and subdued. They’re also less excitable due to all of their recent winning, which has made them a bit tamer over the years.
New England is an underdog against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, however, so Patriots fans aren’t necessarily expecting to win this time around. If they do prevail, perhaps their celebrations will be a little wilder than usual.
