Tottenham make appointment to help alleviate injury crisis, Thomas Frank knows him well
Tottenham Hotspur have made another new appointment as the club strives to improve their injury situation, which continues to go from bad to worse.
There have been sweeping changes at Tottenham from top to bottom over the last seven months, with the headline act being the departure of Daniel Levy in the summer.
There have been big appointments at the boardroom level at Spurs, while there have also been several new Tottenham appointments focused on the first-team.
Now, another familiar face has joined Thomas Frank at Hotspur Way as the Dane looks to arrest the team’s slide and get them up the table.
Tottneham appoint new rehabilitation physiotherapist
The Standard have revealed that Spurs have now appointed Liam Horgan as their first-team rehabilitation physiotherapist as they look to emerge from their current injury crisis.
Horgan is someone Frank knows well, as he spent five years as Brentford’s first-team physio between 2019 and 2024.
He becomes the ninth member of the Dane’s backfroom staff at Spurs to have previously worked with the 52-year-old at the West London club.
What will Liam Horgan’s responsibilities be at Spurs?
Tottenham are in the middle of a huge injury crisis at the moment, which has become an all too regular occurrence at the club, and the Spurs medical department has been under the scanner over recent years.
The Standard have revealed that the Lilywhites have now split their physios into rehab and performance, with Horgan set to be part of the former.
The newcomer’s main role will be to help injured players return to full fitness. He will be tasked with guiding players through the recovery process after injury and minimising the chances of the injury recurring.
