Nine Tottenham players ‘like’ Cristian Romero’s post about ‘disgraceful’ squad issues
Some people believe Cristian Romero’s latest post was a message to the Tottenham hierarchy about their January business, and it has been ‘liked’ by several Spurs teammates.
Despite Spurs being in the middle of a major injury crisis, Conor Gallagher and Souza were the only two players to arrive through the door in January.
Rather than strengthening their attack in the window, the club weakened it by letting Brennan Johnson go and failing to sign a replacement, which has caused anger among the fan base.
It appears that the players are also peeved with the lack of signings, with Romero terming it ‘disgraceful’ that Tottenham had only eleven fit players available on Sunday.

The timing of Romero’s social media post, coming as it did on deadline day, certainly raised a few eyebrows. Some fans believe it was a message to the Spurs board, from a player who has not been shy of speaking his mind in the past.
Romero’s post has gone down very well with Tottenham fans, and it appears that many of his teammates also agree.
Football.London have now revealed that the Argentine’s post was liked by James Maddison, Dominic Solanke, Xavi Simons, Pedro Porro, Djed Spence, Pape Matar Sarr, Kevin Danso, Dane Scarlett, and Conor Gallagher.
Are the Spurs squad sending a message to the board?
The fact that so many players liked the centre-back’s post may be seen as a sign that the players are unhappy with the club’s lack of ambition.
However, at the same time, it is also possible we may be reading too much into a ‘like’ on social media.
Some of them may have merely liked Romero’s sentiment about playing through illness and about staying together as a squad.
There is no doubt that the Tottenham captain’s post has put the club’s hierarchy in a difficult position, at a time when the relationship between Spurs fans and the club appears to have hit rockbottom.
