I can’t remember a better Jan window, I know others have mentioned clearing dead wood but in reality we have swapped
Cashin for Wagner
GAP for Ponzo
Keshi for Osman
Thor for Vicente
Dykes for Priske
Leonard for Solis
It’s a bit ridiculous how good these improvements are, but also they are not just like for like, Wagner and Vicente are great crossers and Priske gives us height in attack, it’s a genuine plan b (to our ‘plan a’ which has been get to the byline and try a low cross for Stanno/Kyogo) - makes us much more dangerous. Also Osman and Vicente being so quick gives us a much better counter attack threat.
I said after the summer window that we had a mid table squad, but this is clearly a top 6 squad now, if we don’t make it this year then we should be very optimistic next season.
