Summary: Chatham Town Dev

0 0

The Stones made the perfect start, with Chi Madamombe opening the scoring inside two minutes. The lead was doubled on the 20-minute mark thanks to a superb curling effort from Kelsi Wilkinson.

Chatham reduced the deficit 20 minutes later when Aimee Molinari beat the offside trap, but Maidstone restored their two-goal advantage in first-half stoppage time as Madamombe struck her second of the afternoon.

Maidstone had one foot in the semi-finals ten minutes into the second half when Kylie Manktelow slotted home goal number four – her 19th of the season.

With ten minutes remaining, the game was put beyond doubt as player/manager Tori Campbell added a fifth with a trademark rocket of a free kick.

The Stones return to league action at the Gallagher next Sunday, with Kings Hill the visitors. The two sides are yet to meet in the league this season, but Campbell’s side secured a 1-0 victory in last month’s league cup tie.
