Tottenham will struggle with Akliouche, but two forwards could join on deadline day
Tottenham Hotspur are looking to strengthen their attack at the dying stages of the transfer window, with three attackers alleged to be on the club’s radar, according to journalist Miguel Delaney.
Under Daniel Levy, Tottenham made a habit of leaving crucial deals until very late, and Spurs fans would have hoped things would be different under the new leadership group.
However, we are yet again at a point where Spurs are looking to complete a late deal with just hours left in the transfer window.
Tottenham fans have been frustrated that the club have not added firepower to their forward line this month, but reports over recent days have suggested that Spurs could make a late move for Maghnes Akliouche.
Maghnes Akliouche will be tough for Tottenham to sign
Miguel Delaney has now revealed that Spurs have not given up hope of adding a forward to their squad before the window slams shut at 7 pm.
However, he revealed that Monaco are unwilling to let Maghnes Akliouche leave without signing a replacement first.
The journalist further added that the former Aston Villa duo, Moussa Diaby and Jhon Duran, also remain ‘possibilities’ for the North London club.
Delaney wrote on X: ‘Spurs looking for a forward, but Monaco won’t let Akliouche go without a replacement. Diaby/Duran possibilities.”
Both Moussa Diaby and Jhon Duran keen on Premier League return
It was reported a couple of days ago that Tottenham had enquired about Diaby, who is thought to be keen to leave Al-Ittihad to return to Europe.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Duran has been offered to Spurs by intermediaries as the striker’s loan spell at Fenerbahce has not gone according to plan.
However, the same update claimed that it is Lille who are the favourites to win the race for the Colombian international.
