Cooper Flagg Makes NBA History Yet Again Against Rockets

After a record-setting, 49-point performance against the Charlotte Hornets earlier in the week, Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg made NBA history again on Saturday against the Houston Rockets.

With a 34-point, 12-rebound performance versus Houston, Flagg became the first teenager in league history to record consecutive 30-point double-doubles.

The 19-year-old forward and No. 1 overall pick has posted multiple 30-plus point outings this season, including strong all-around efforts that place him among the league leaders in clutch contributions.

Despite the Mavericks’ inconsistent team results, he has emerged as a reliable two-way presence, contributing steals, blocks, and playmaking while logging heavy minutes. His versatility has helped him adapt quickly to the pro level, often drawing praise for exceeding expectations in scoring and impact.

As February begins, Flagg remains a frontrunner in the Rookie of the Year conversation, blending explosive offense with growing defensive maturity. His rapid development bodes well for Dallas moving forward.
