Official: Torino sign Marianucci and Kulenovic, but 2 other deals stall
Torino have officially signed Sandro Kulenovic from GNK Dinamo Zagreb and Luca Marianucci from Napoli, but deals for Tottenham’s Callum Olusesi and Kevin Jappert of Barracas Central stalled.
The Granata are having a very active spell on the transfer market as we approach the January deadline.
Marianucci completed his loan move from Napoli and there is no option to make it permanent at the end of the season.
This evening, Kulenovic signed on loan with an option to buy from GNK Dinamo Zagreb, which can become an obligation if certain conditions are met over the next six months.
The Croatian centre-forward turned 26 last month and the cost of the operation is believed to be circa €4m.
Torino hits and misses on the transfer market
However, other transfers are proving decidedly more difficult for Torino to complete.
It started when Corinthians defender Tchoca discovered problems during the medical and his €1.5m loan with €4.5m obligation to buy was abandoned.
Instead, the Granata turned towards Atletico Rafaele-owned Jappert, but Sky Sport Italia warn that too has run into issues.
He is currently on loan at Barracas Central, who have seemingly refused to let him interrupt that experience early.
The same source also reports that Torino had agreed a loan with option to buy for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Olusesi, and he even flew in for a medical on Friday, but problems emerged to stall the whole thing.
