Gray Looks Ahead To Rangers Clash
David Gray looks ahead to his side’s William Hill Premiership fixture against Rangers at Easter Road Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Hibs remain fifth in the league table after our five-match unbeaten run came to an abrupt end last weekend in Falkirk.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s match, Gray said he is keen to see the positive reaction to the defeat from his players in training transfer to the pitch this weekend.
“When you think back to the games we've played against Rangers already this season, they've been very fine margins, but they've gone against us. I think we really want to try and put that right. There's enough belief in the group and quality in the group to go and do that.
“It will take a 90-minute performance. The biggest thing for me is all about making sure we get that reaction from the players. I've certainly seen it in training. It is about taking that into the game.
“One thing I would say is it's a brilliant game to look forward to. I say that all the time when teams like Rangers come to Easter Road; the atmosphere will be fantastic.
“It's live on TV, it's an opportunity to go and showcase your talent and to try and put it right for the disappointment last week.”
In terms of team news, Gray gave the latest on several players who missed out last weekend against Falkirk ahead of Sunday’s match.
“Thibault [Klidjé] and Nicky Cadden were both ill for the game. They've recovered from that. They’re not fully back to normal yet, but have part-trained this week. So, that's positive for them. I expect them to be available for the weekend and much healthier by the time the weekend comes.
“Chris Cadden won't be available, he's out slightly longer with his calf issue. And, obviously, Josh Mulligan is still out.
“Josh Campbell will still be out, but I expect him to be back probably the week after, which is great because he's done really well with his rehab.
“And the other one was Warren O'Hora, who missed the game. I don't expect Warren to be fit for this one.
“Apart from that, the rest of the group came through the game okay. And then, as a result of the disappointment from last week, the training has been very intense and we're very much trying to get that right as quickly as we can.”
