Queen’s Park v Arbroath – Match Preview

0 0

QUEEN’S PARK are aiming to continue a strong home league record in the William Hill Championship when Arbroath arrive on the southside.

Sean Crighton’s side have not lost at The city Stadium since the end of September, save for Tuesday night’s penalty shoot-out exit in the KDM Evolution Trophy which came after a 1-1 draw with Raith
Rovers.

Arbroath are one of the league sides to have left Mount Florida with three points having silenced the stadium back in August with a 3-1 win.

Keeper Calum Ferrie

The Spiders will be without Josh Fowler who left for St Johnstone on Thursday, though Callum Smith is back in the plans having been cup-tied for the midweek match with his old club.

The Season so far...

Arbroath stepped up from League One and have continued their winning formula in the William Hill Championship.

David Gold and Colin Hamilton have taken six points from six against the Spiders, in convincing 3-1 and 4-1 wins so far this season.

That has helped propel the Red Lichties into third place and comfortably in the play-off hunt.

Former Spiders winger Rocco Hickey-Figaccia recently left Gayfield, as did Taylor Steven who scored when the sides last met in October.

Niko Ujdur

Defender Niko Udjur is closer to a comeback while Mikey Ruth is also recovering from his long lay-off.
